Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SprinTelex, operated by Alaric (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

SprinTelex is a messaging app with mobile-money features. Messaging is end-to-end encrypted. Payment features move real money through licensed third-party rails and the mobile-money networks; SprinTelex is not a bank and does not hold deposits — escrowed group payments are held with our licensed payment partner until released or refunded.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 to use SprinTelex, and old enough to hold a mobile-money wallet (per your network's rules) to use payment features.
• Your account is tied to your phone number. Keep your device, recovery PIN and registration-lock PIN safe — end-to-end encryption means we cannot recover message history you lose.
• One person per account; don't impersonate others (verified badges and username rules exist to protect everyone).

Payments

• Payments are executed by our licensed payment partner across MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money. Network and processing fees are shown before you confirm and are paid by the sender.
• A payment confirmed on your phone (your network's approval prompt) is your authorisation. Send money only to people you trust — a completed transfer generally cannot be reversed by us.
• Group splits are held in escrow and released to the requester when all shares are paid, or refunded if the split is cancelled.
• We may delay, refuse or unwind transactions to comply with law or prevent fraud.

Acceptable use

Don't use SprinTelex to break the law, defraud people, send spam, distribute malware, exploit minors, or harass others. You can report any account from its profile; we may freeze or ban accounts that violate these terms.

Content

Your messages are yours; we can't read them and claim no rights over them. Stories and profile content remain yours too — you grant us only the technical licence needed to store and deliver them to the people you chose.

Availability & liability

SprinTelex is provided “as is” during the beta. We work hard to keep it reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us (if any); nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights, including your rights against payment providers under Ghana's payment-systems laws.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with the moderation process described in-app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and disputes belong to the courts of Ghana.
