SprinTelex

Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 July 2026

SprinTelex is built so that we know as little about you as possible. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we can and cannot see. SprinTelex is operated by Alaric (“we”, “us”).

What we can never read

Your messages — text, photos, videos, voice notes, documents, locations and the details of payment messages — are end-to-end encrypted on your device using the Signal protocol. Our servers store and relay ciphertext that we cannot decrypt. Encryption keys live only on your devices. Optional chat backups are encrypted with a PIN only you know before they leave your phone; we cannot read those either.

What we collect and why

What we don't do

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run SprinTelex — cloud infrastructure, SMS delivery, push notification services (Apple), and our payment partner — each receiving only what their function requires. We may disclose information where the law requires it; end-to-end encrypted content is not something we can produce.

Retention & deletion

Undelivered ciphertext is held until it reaches your device. You can delete your account at any time in Settings — this permanently removes your profile, keys, devices and server-side data. Stories expire after 24 hours.

Your rights

We operate from Ghana and honour the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). You may request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time — the fastest route is in-app account deletion, or write to support@sprintelex.com.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here, and note material changes in the app.
