Frequently asked questions
›What is SprinTelex?
A messenger where mobile money moves inside the chat. Text, voice notes, calls, stories, groups — and ₵ that travels like a message, end-to-end encrypted.
›Is it free?
The app is free. When you send real money, the network and processing fees are shown to you before you confirm — the sender covers them, the receiver gets the full amount.
›Which mobile-money networks work?
MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money in Ghana, settled through a licensed payment partner. More markets are on the roadmap.
›What does end-to-end encrypted mean here?
Your messages are locked on your phone with keys only your devices hold. Our servers relay ciphertext they cannot read — the same protocol family trusted by the world's most private messengers.
›How do group invite links work?
Any member can share a group's link or QR code from Group info. Whoever opens it sees the group's name and size and can join with one tap. Admins can reset the link at any time, which kills the old one.
›What happens if I lose my phone?
Sign in on a new phone with your number, then restore with your recovery PIN. If you enabled chat backup, your history returns too — it's encrypted with a PIN only you know, so keep it safe: we cannot recover it for you.
›What is Note to Self?
A private chat with yourself for notes, links, photos and files — it syncs across your devices and only you can see it.
›Who makes SprinTelex?
SprinTelex is built in Ghana by Alaric.
