End-to-end encryption
The Signal protocol with per-device fan-out — every message is encrypted separately for each of a recipient's devices. Servers relay ciphertext they cannot read; media rides AES-256 with per-blob keys carried inside the encrypted payload.
A native chat engine
React Native on the New Architecture for product velocity, with the hot paths — the thread list and chats tab — rebuilt as hand-tuned UIKit, mined 1:1 from how the best messengers actually ship: additive spring motion, drawn bubbles, Metal particle effects.
Real money rails
Payments settle through licensed mobile-money processors across MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money — direct pass-through for 1-to-1, escrowed shares for group splits, idempotent webhooks reconciling every step.
